Trust first.
Then book the detail.
Booking a detail, a ceramic coating or paint protection film means handing someone your car, and most people ask a friend. Detailer Atlas is for when you don’t have one to ask — or want to double-check the one you got. We show what you can verify for yourself: that the business is real, the insurance it states, the packages and prices it publishes, any detailing or coating certification it claims, whether it brings its own water and power, and photos of its own work. No invented ratings, and anything featured is clearly labeled.
Detailer Atlas helps car, boat and RV owners find mobile and shop-based detailers, compare what they publish, and contact them directly. We’re starting with Tampa Bay, Florida.
A first collection, with room to grow.
Our collection includes 463 detailers across 26 areas. It is a researched starting point, not a complete inventory of Tampa Bay detailing businesses. Many mobile detailers come to customers’ homes or workplaces and publish no street address; we say so on the profile rather than guess one. Owner-verified profiles are marked individually after review.
Sourced facts only.
We use each business’s own website and location pages, and official business listings. Where direct retrieval was unavailable, we reviewed search-indexed pages from the official website. Every profile links to its sources and shows when we checked them. A source-check date does not mean the business updated the page that day.
Published opening hours use Tampa Bay local time (Eastern). Unknown hours stay unknown. Map pins are approximate, and for service-area businesses they show the area served rather than an address. Your location is only used in your browser to sort by distance — it is never sent to us. Initials appear when we have not sourced a usable business logo.
The trust check.
Every profile shows the same seven items, each as plain yes or not-yet-confirmed. It is a checklist, not a rating.
- Real, sourced business. Contact details from official sources.
- Insured, as stated. The insurance statement the detailer publishes. We don’t see the policy: ask whether it covers damage to your vehicle and ask for a certificate of insurance.
- Packages and prices published. A package price the detailer publishes on its own site, quoted as written.
- Detailing or coating certification. A certification the detailer states, such as a coating brand’s installer program. We record the claim; ask the brand or the detailer for proof. See ceramic coating: what to ask.
- Self-contained (own water and power). Whether a mobile detailer says it brings its own water and power.
- Maintenance wash plan offered. Whether the detailer offers regular maintenance washes or a plan.
- Published prices. Recorded only when the detailer publishes them. We don’t estimate prices.
Statements appear as the business makes them, linked to the page where it says so. We don’t verify them independently, and they can change, so confirm before you rely on one.
A closer look at each detailer.
Photos come from official business websites and linked business profiles. We label them, and link every image to its source. We don’t use stock images or map imagery. Images may show an earlier appearance of the work. Owners can request a replacement or removal through the correction form.
Reviews, with their sources.
Profiles link to matching review pages where we can identify them. We don’t copy star ratings or review counts from other platforms — we link to them, so you always read the current reviews in their own context. Testimonials the business selected are kept separate from independent reviews.
What a listing means.
Inclusion is not an endorsement, partnership, or quality rating. We have no ratings of our own. We don’t invent reviews, star ratings, prices or credentials. Nothing on Detailer Atlas is legal or insurance advice. Business names and logos identify the businesses and belong to their respective owners.
What “Featured” means.
Some owner-verified detailers are Featured. Featured detailers have taken a free strategy call with Winback Engine, the company behind Detailer Atlas, about its customer-reactivation service, and may be Winback Engine customers. Featured detailers carry a “Featured” label and can appear first in the default sort. Featuring never changes a detailer’s trust check, credentials, photos or review sources, and every other sort and filter works exactly the same for every detailer.
For business owners.
Claim requests and suggested corrections are free. Requests are held for review; submitting a form does not change a public profile or prove ownership. Ownership should be established through a business contact that was independently published before the request.
Why Winback Engine?
This directory is a Winback Engine project. Alongside helping car owners find local detailers, we want to meet business owners who need help reconnecting with past customers. Owners can choose to ask about that service. It is separate from a free directory listing.
