The short answer

A full interior and exterior detail for a car in Tampa Bay starts at $100 to $400, and the typical starting price is $190. That's across the 21 detailers where we recorded a full-detail price for a sedan or coupe from their own website. A ceramic coating costs a lot more: the 18 detailers with a recorded coating price start at $500 to $1,000, with a typical starting price of $698.

These are starting prices. SUVs, trucks, pet hair, heavy stains and paint that needs correcting all push the final bill up, so treat them as the floor, not the quote.

Full detail prices

Fourteen of the 21 detailers start a full detail under $200, and eight start under $150. Only four start at $300 or more. Here is each published starting price, lowest first, as listed on the detailer's own site:

The same name can cover different work: the $150 detail at Auto Spa America lists a clay bar and hand wax, while the other $150 detail, at Diamond Detailing Sparkles, lists a hand wash and interior vacuuming. Ask what's included before you compare.

Tampa has the most published full-detail prices, 8 of the 21, and they run from $100 to $300.

Mobile detailers aren't more expensive

You might expect a detailer who drives to your driveway to charge more. In these numbers it's the other way round. The 15 mobile detailers with a full-detail price start at a typical $150, against $190 for the whole group. All but one of the eight full details under $150 are mobile. Our guide to choosing a mobile detailer in Tampa Bay covers what to ask before you book one.

Ceramic coating prices

The cheapest coatings start at $500, at three detailers: Exotic Shine Auto Detailing in Brandon, Detail Depot in Clearwater and High Ticket Detailing Services in Lakeland. Five of the 18 start under $600, and four start at $800 or more.

Price tracks how long the coating is rated to last. High Ticket Detailing lists a 1-year coating from $500 and a 3-year coating from $995. Four of the eight coatings starting at $750 or more are labelled as 3-year or 5-year coatings. Some prices also bundle a polish: Liquid Shine Elite's $800 includes a light polish for paint in good condition.

Five more detailers advertise a ceramic coating "special" on their site, from $329 to $1,000. We left those out of the typical price because sale prices end. If you see one, check the end date and what the coating's rated to last.

How we counted

We started with the 463 Tampa Bay detailers in the Detailer Atlas directory. For 215 of them we recorded a price from the business's own website, checked November 6, 2026. We sorted each by hand. A full detail counts when the price is for an interior and exterior detail (called full, complete or interior and exterior) on a car, sedan or coupe. A ceramic coating counts when it's a paint coating for a car. We used the lowest or "from" price, and the low end of a range. We left out add-ons, wash-only and interior-only prices, SUV-only prices, memberships, products, per-foot boat and RV prices, prices marked as a special or sale, and anything unclear. "Typical" is the median. Prices quoted only by phone or after an inspection aren't included.
